During the COVID-19 Crisis obviously all groups and home visits are suspended, however I also do a free live Facebook Q&A one Wednesday evening each month – these are saved to be watched at ay time. I answer questions posed by those watching or who have already posted ahead of the session.
See my Facebook page for more details.

Twice every month I help run a breastfeeding support group in Blackpool with a group of ABM peer supporters:  a drop in  for ongoing feeding information and support, sleep discussion, attachment, bonding, parenting questions, or simply to meet other parents to chat and share experiences.  My scales will be there too if you would like to weigh baby. These sessions will be open to baby with Mum and /or Dad, plus companion if wished, and are group sessions.

Antenatal mums and dads are welcome to join us too. Group sessions are clearly no substitute for one to one consultations, but there is no pressure whatsoever to see me privately – the group is a great place to be and hopefully we all get something from it!

10am-12 noon, 1st 3rd (& 5th) Friday each month, South Shore Primary Care Centre, Lytham Rd, Blackpool FY4 1TJ – CURRENTLY SUSPENDED

Following on from the delivery of this workshop to NHS, Voluntary Sector and Public Health staff across the northwest over the past 18 months, I am now making this available via evening webinars. If you are a health professional who wishes to know more, or a parent whose child is suffering from colic or reflux symptoms, or suspected /diagnosed lactose or cows milk protein allergies, please join us.

Initial introductory session on colic “Easing Infantile Colic: 7 Simple Tips” is just £5, and the more in depth session “Understanding Colic, Reflux and Food Intolerances for Milk Fed Infants” is £30, with a £5 discount for those who have attended the initial webinar (discount link to be sent out to registrants, after the webinar).
Book the colic introductory webinar here for just £5.

Here’s some feedback from a recent live session: “I attended a talk last week with Shel. Really enjoyed the evening. Shel answered all my questions and more. I’m due to have my 4th child and I’ve had problems with feeding, colic and milk intolerance with all 3. I feel much more confident and aware of how to deal with any of these problems if they arise with number 4. I would 100% recommend you attend the next event: the information on hand is invaluable to parents. I have in the past been to doctors, hospital, I’ve tried various products and nothing really helped, I just felt like I was doing something wrong. Shel goes through many scenarios and provides you with the knowledge, understanding and support to enable you to deal with these problems and more, should they arise. Thank you Shel.”

The introductory workshop was held online first –and is just £5, payable on booking. The more in depth session was held later – book here (for those not registering for the introductory webinar).  Get in touch if you are interested to know more.

Fourth Trimester Antenatal Infant Feeding Classes cover all aspects of infant feeding, sleep, bonding and attachment, infant safety and whatever the class attendees would like to cover antenatally. Come and ask your questions, learn all about feeding in a baby-centred way, talk about that first few weeks with baby, introducing solid foods, or going back to work, and all the other things! The workshops are held online  and are just £25 per participant, payable on booking. BOOK HERE

If you have a baby who will be under 7 months at the point of the session then please join us! You are welcome to bring baby or come alone, and with or without your partner or another companion.
The most recent workshop was held online in September but not recorded –at just £30 per family, payable on booking. (please get in touch if you are interested in this workshop – no date for the next one is currently organised)

Here’s some of the feedback from the session: “What a brilliant workshop last night. I’ve found this very useful. I feel a lot more prepared and ready for when I start introducing solids”, and “We have been still chatting over the weekend about some of the things we found out. Really great workshop!”
